This English is the ASMR for the Japanese, and I am sorry for the foreigners because the Japanese pronunciation is not tongue-tied, which inevitably makes the English difficult to understand.
I understand your disappointment, but I would be grateful if you could understand me.

Pretty hard to understand the engrish, but man this is one weird setting… she’s talking about her survivor’s guilt escaping from some kind of war on a dangerous island country, and how she thinks it would have been better to die there… while giving healing ear cleaning service…. also there was definitely mention of lazers earlier?? I feel like I should be giving her the relaxing service instead…

She tried, but its kinda hard to make out certain words, some I can’t even tell what she said. I understand like 15% of each sentence.

Rolling Rs and lilting Ls are always the bane of japanese natives speaking english, as will forever be the case. She tried, though.

Kind of sucks to spend your whole life speaking a glyphic, consonant-vowel phonetic language, then try to learn freaking english, an unholy amalgamation of a dozen nordic and romance languages that frequently rips grammar and pronunciation from across the planet.

That’s kind of what happens when you have a language tied to a country that self-isolate for hundreds of years versus one tied to several very expansionist countries. Chinese has the same issues, just with different phonetic sounds.

Eastern European here, I understood quite a bit actually , sometimes you get similiar accents here, when the students try too hard to sound American, when they haven’t actually practiced basic’s.
Putting on an accent before you can speak your country’s version of broken English.
Sometimes just having a stereotypical Russian accent for instance , is better than trying too hard to sound American.
