    I was wondering if there was an ASMR work in English and there it is. I’ve read comments about how stiff/unnatural it seems. I am not an English native but from as far as I am concerned, the intonation, the speed, the moans, etc… it sounds like a style more than stiffness. If you search for English dubbed H-animations made by independent artists (not off-brand anime), females VA sound the same as here. Some of the most cultured amongst you might remember Derpixon? Well, some of their VA sound like that. Recently, I watched some of YuukiS69’s animations and the girl sounded the same. I don’t know… But I feel the same as you when I watch French dubbed movies… Now I only watch subtitled original dubbed movies. Maybe I got so used to Japanese ASMR that English ASMR sounds weird… As for the VA, well she retired completely. She had a Patreon a few years ago but retired as well and went streaming. Her Patreon is still active you can buy her past VA works but she is not streaming anymore. That is a shame.

    Everybody is saying that this sounds very scripted, but what if the japanese ones sound scripted too, and we just dont realize it because we dont speak japanese

    The asmr like this is so deal.cause that can study and play with my son at the same time=)

      Wish there was some decent acting. People just reading off clearly premade scripts with clear enunciation belongs on youtube tutorials, not voice acting.

      Meh, most of the Japanese stuff is just as stiff. We just don’t really care because we already acquired a taste for it via anime and similar audio.

        Wont deny that a lot of popular CVs even on this site are stiff or tend to just repeat the same archetype theyve “figured out” (cough gemiko), but some are quite good.
